Christian Music Lists helps you find the right Christian song for the moment: a funeral, a wedding, a baptism, a holiday or a hard week.

How the lists are made

Every list is built from one library of 215 songs: centuries-old hymns, 90s worship, gospel, country, rock, rap and this decade's worship anthems. Each song is tagged with the occasions and topics it fits, so the same song can show up wherever it belongs.

A song means something different depending on the moment. Amazing Grace at a funeral is not the same as Amazing Grace on a list of the greatest hymns. So each song gets its own note on each list, written for that occasion: where it fits in a service, who it tends to mean the most to, and when another song might be the better choice.

Scripture

Every song lists the Bible passage it draws from or echoes most closely. If you're planning a funeral, wedding or baptism, you can pair a song with its reading.

Lyrics and videos

We don't publish copyrighted lyrics or chords. The Listen button plays a video embedded from YouTube, and those videos belong to their owners.

Sources

Song years, writers and the stories behind them are compiled from public sources such as album credits, hymnals and published interviews.
